Dear Mr. Linden,
My name is Timothy Brown and I wanted to share the gift that your brother gave me while attending BGSU. At 17 years old I became the first person in my family to attend college. My Father was a steelworker and I was raised in Middletown,Ohio as a young adopted boy with no siblings in an 800 square foot home. When I attended my freshman year of college I met your brother. I was not a violist, yet I was fascinated with your brother's passionate personality and asked if I could take private viola lessons with him. He said yes. I have no idea why, yet as I look back on my life I realize that he introduced me to the beautiful world of strings.
I cherish my time with him and his influence helped greatly as I eventually found my musical voice as a composer many years later. I just wanted to let you know that I am now at a time in my life of sharing my gratitude to the many teachers that gave me the beautiful and meaningful life that I now have. My music is healing the world and I wanted you to know that your brother was a very important part of my musical path.
My Warmest Wishes,
Tim
